The Egyptian people are all VERY nice and friendly but are fascinated with Emily and our blond hair. She is like a star! People will stop us, get really close, and touch her hair with fascination. It’s a little unnerving, especially when they run across the street to touch her and want to kiss her. From what I understand, they think it is good luck. This I am not sure of. I have friend here with a 5 month old and she sometimes has to get a little rude to tell folks to leave her baby alone. They don’t do it out of meanness, just curiosity. We are quite the minority.
